Alipurduar, a region renowned for its natural beauty and cultural heritage, is taking a bold step with the Duars Run 2024. Organized by the Alipurduar Police Department and supported by Dabri Tea, this marathon aims to promote a drug-free society and inspire healthier, addiction-free lifestyles.
More than just a race, the Duars Run is a movement to raise awareness about the dangers of drug and substance abuse. It also stands as the region’s first zero-waste run, symbolizing a commitment to both health and environmental responsibility.
Alipurduar’s scenic landscapes, including its iconic tea gardens, dense forests, beautiful rivers and vibrant tribal traditions, provide the perfect backdrop for this event. From the lush greenery of the various tea gardens to the cultural richness of various communities the Duars Run offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the diversity of this beautiful region while running for a cause.
ABOUT ALIPURDUAR
Alipurduar is a district in West Bengal, known for its natural beauty, tea gardens, and rich cultural heritage. Located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, it is the gateway to the Dooars region, home to wildlife sanctuaries like Buxa Tiger Reserve and Jaldapara National Park.
The name Duars, meaning “doors”, refers to the region as the gateway to Bhutan and the Himalayas. Known for its tribal diversity and stunning landscapes, the Duars is a blend of culture and nature. The Duars Run celebrates this unique confluence, offering participants the chance to run through the heart of this breathtaking region.

Steps for Registration:

Select Your Race – Choose between the 10 km or 21 km race.

Fill in Your Details – Provide your name, age, and other details.

Bib Collection - Select the police station from where you will collect your timing bib

Make Payment – You will be redirected to the razor pay platform for payments. You can use debit card, credit card, gpay and phonepe for the payments.

Receive Your Confirmation – You will receive an email with your race bib and event details.

THE ROUTE
The Duars Run takes you on an unforgettable journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Dooars. Runners will pass through the lush tea gardens of Dabri, and the fringes of Rajabhatkhawa and Buxa forest .
